Silk is a native of Canada. academic. Silk was raised in Fredericton. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actor, director and producer who also taught at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter who was a renowned academic. Anna recounts some of the first moments in her childhood when she used to see her mother in rehearsals for plays. Silk was featured in many commercials when she was just a child. She completed a Bachelors of Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Her early theater experience includes at least two productions in collaboration with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto for her acting to advance in November, 1999. After a decade, she relocated into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she met him in 2007 during an acting workshop at Los Angeles. The couple was wed in a civil ceremony in December of 2009. The couple reaffirmed their vows the 10th of April in Fredericton at an Jewish ceremony following her conversion to Jewish.
