Cassandra Monique Batie is an American R&B soul, R&B and song writer and singer. She also performs. The accolades she has received include a Grammy Award as well as a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She is also nominated for the Academy Award. Andra is not only an old school R&B artist, her blues and gospel roots perform in a manner which is effortless as well as elegant. Cheers to the fall (2015) Her debut, which was highly anticipated, was a hit in the Top Ten of the R&B/hip-hop and helped her earn some Grammy nominations and one Academy Award nomination with Stand Up for Something (2017) her part in the soundtrack to Marshall receiving both awards. Amen (2018), Take Your Troubles go Away (2020) and their Golden Globe winning portrayal of Billie Holiday (The United States in vs. Billie Holiday 2021) has all been a part of the anticipation of her next album. Andra was born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. Following her childhood living in San Diego and surrounding areas she started singing at churches and then enrolled at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. She was a fan of contemporary R&B, pop and jazz as she left school, but eventually was drawn back to classical soul singers and jazz which she was familiar with when she was a young child. Kai Millard Morris caught her show and offered the music of Day to Stevie Wonder. The Motown legend in turn was able to connect Day with veteran of the music industry Adrian Gurvitz. Day's fans on YouTube grew fast after she formed a team with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. In 2012, Day launched her first single Forever Mine. The song quickly popular and was played on radio by many DJs. Following her being signed to Warner Bros. Records, she began working with producer Adrian Gurvitz for her debut album "Cheers to fall" (2015). The album included the song Rise Up which is now a global song of the social justice movement. Day received two Grammy nominations, one of which was for Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album that chronicles the legendary jazz artist's existence, debuted in 2019. That same year, she was a part of The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), which is a biopic about Holiday's life. Andi Matichak, an American actress. She debuted in the movie Halloween in the role of Allyson After appearing on various television shows, including Orange Is the New Black (Orange Is the New Black) Park Avenue (666) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue) The Blue Bloods and Orange is the New Black. Andi Mattichak was born May 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts.
