Lita Rossana Ford She was born in Britain and was an American musician, singer as well as music writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she was a lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. While the group did not make much progress in America, they were hugely popular overseas. It was particularly true in Japan. After the band split in 1979 Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in heavy metal. She took voice lessons and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. Ford disappeared from rock for several years after the albums did not be a huge success. In 1988, Ford returned to the scene with a smashing album called 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both became big hits. The success of her was not long-lasting and, for a few more years, she disappeared. The resurgence of her career came with albums "Black" in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland" nearly 15 years after. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Her name was given The Certified Guitar Legend Award by the Guitar Player Magazine.
