David Muir is a journalist and anchor from the United States. He's best known for World News Tonight. With its animated gestures and funny videos of celebrities' news, the show has grown to become the most watched newscast in America. Made In America was nominated for an Emmy. Prior to taking over ABC World News Tonight he was the primary substitute anchor for his former anchor Diane Sawyer. He has reported numerous evening specials on primetime ABC News some recent ones include Breaking Point: Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint The Refugee Crisis in America. He has traveled around the globe, reporting on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He's received several Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards along with honours and prizes of The Associated Press.
